Hospitals and medical groups must inspect (xray) their radiation protection equipment on a regular basis to insure there are no gaps in the protection as required for compliance. This application enables hospital/medical facility staff to track the inspection status/date for radiation protection equipment.
The application will help medical facilities track inspection compliance for their radiation protection equipment (Radiation Protection Apron or Vest). These radiation aprons and vests are often scattered around medical facilities and this application provides an easy way to track the location of the equipment, the date when it was last inspected and if the equipment passed the inspection helping to track the equipment and maintain compliance. The application enables staff to easily add new protective equipment to the application and define details about the equipment such as its location in the hospital, a description and a photo of the equipment using the camera on the iPad.
The application enables staff to use an iPad to scan a barcode on the apron or vest to determine the equipment’s ID or serial number. Once the equipment has been tested (x-rayed) the pass/fail for the status of that equipment is logged within the application.
The application can be used by multiple departments within the hospital or medical facility to track their equipment and the data can be consolidated on a centralized server for reporting via a data export from the application.
